Daily: Hair Relaxing + Nano Mist Treatment @ Hairmony Hair Studio by Marco

I've recently spotted some bangs as I was trying out the Korean air (see through) bangs style. But, because my natural hair has a little frizz and tiny curls, I wasn't able to achieve the whole look. Honestly, I didn't really like my hair texture as it is straight but at the same time, I also had all this messy baby hair all over. I was looking for the perfect solution to hydrate and moisturise my dry and somewhat frizzy hair. I came across the Nano Mist treatment at Hairmony Hair Studio by Marco and thought why not try it as it may just be the perfect solution to my problem.

While I was at the salon, I was greeted my the hairstylist, Anthony who is also the branch manager. I liked how professional he was at explaining the treatment beforehand. Hairmony Hair Studio is offering a promotion at the moment for ANY chemical hair services at ONLY RM 100! So, I decided to try out the Hair Relaxing chemical service as well to lessen down on the frizz in my hair.

I like the simple, no fuss decor in the salon and it had that modern, chic take to it :)

Here, Anthony was checking out my hair texture to determine what's best for my hair at the moment. And, truth be told, indeed, my hair lacks lustre and moisture.

STEP BY STEP
1. Relaxing treatment

Starting with a hair wash first

Next, some softening cream is applied to the hair as part of preparation for the hair beforehand.

Wrapping the hair to allow better penetration of softening cream

Blow dry and lightly ironing the hair as part of the relaxing treatment!

Lastly, to complete the relaxing treatment and to lock in the shape of the hair, a neutralizer is applied throughout the lengths of the hair.

2. Nano Mist Treatment

Applying some liquid protein to the hair

During the Nano Mist treatment, you will feel a little water droplets and slight heat from the machine. But, it's relatively comfortable and does not feel irritating at all.

To complete the look, Anthony trimmed my bangs for that Korean see through style that I wanted so badly. I'm so happy at the result because it was the style I've always wanted but couldn't have as my hair was frizzy and messy.

END RESULT

Look at the absolute smoothness and frizz free hair! By the way, I did not dye my hair, the colour was from the previous dye I had a few months back.

Thank you Anthony from Hairmony Hair Studio by Marco for this perfect hairstyle that I have always desired for. This is great for 'lazy girls' like myself who just need a simple hair do that all you need to do is comb and go!

Can't get enough of this hairstyle :)

Overall, I really enjoyed the hair services provided at this salon. The hairstylists are professional and helpful.

There is a different pricing for the type of Nano Mist Treatment.
RM 120 - Inclusive of basic moisturising treatment
RM 180 - Inclusive of application of liquid protein

I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone who has frizzy and unmanageable hair, like myself.

They have two branches which you can visit, depending on which is more convenient to you.

Food: Smoke, Fire & Spice Menu @ Hard Rock Cafe, Kuala Lumpur

I remember Hard Rock Cafe vividly when I was young as an exclusive restaurant to dine at. It was a luxury to have a meal there. I was ecstatic when I was invited for a food review at Hard Rock Cafe, Kuala Lumpur a few days ago. The review was for a new menu which is inspired by flavours from spices, seasonings and sauces of popular street foods found around the world including Asia, Africa and Latin America.

 Chicken

 Prawn
My favourite were the juicy and succulent prawns which was grilled to perfection!

 Beef

As part of the Smoke, Fire & Spice menu, Hard Rock has developed a variety of specialty rubs, seasonings and sauces that guests will be able to pair with their choice of chicken, beef or shrimp. Each protein will be served on a sizzling skillet accompanied by naan, a marinated salad mix, grilled vegetables, mixed cheeses and complementary dipping sauces.

Served steaming-hot and fajita style, the Smoke, Fire & Spice flavor options include :
  • Gojuchang (Korea) – a savory and spicy mix made from slightly fermented vegetables, dried chili peppers and garlic, inspired by flavors of Korea
  • Kalbi (Korea) – a mix of soy sauce, fresh garlic, ginger and sesame seeds, this spice packs a sweet heat inspired by flavors of Korea
  • Harissa (Morocco) –  a mix of dried chilies, coriander, ground caraway seeds and garlic that adds a bit of kick, inspired by flavors of Morocco
  •  Chimichurri (Latin America) a tangy mix of parsley, cilantro, basil, garlic and black pepper, inspired by flavors of Latin America
  • Piri Piri (South Africa) – a scorching mix of chili peppers inspired by flavors of South Africa
  • Barbacoa (Mexico) – a savory mix of chipotle peppers, cilantro, red onion, cumin and lime juice, inspired by flavors of Mexico

JUMBO COMBO (RM 88.00)

This is a starter which features all the delicious and famous appetizers available in the restaurant. From signature wings, onion rings, tupelo chicken tenders, spinach artichoke dip with parmesan flatbread and potato skins, this is indeed a platter meant for sharing!

I really enjoyed and am a big fan of the Somersby Apple Cider once it was available in the markets a few years back. I don't usually take alcoholic drinks on normal days but I love the Somersby Apple Cider because its smooth and isn't as bitter in comparison to beer.

#ThatWeekendFeeling campaign, launched in 2015, has been well received, leading to the cider brand enjoying strong double-digit growth over the same period last year. The brand entered its second phase of the campaign by unveiling its revolutionary drinking ritual at the launch in Tavern 13 in Petaling Jaya which was attended by 200 people comprising of media and consumers. Staying true to its fun and quirky personality, guests were introduced to Somerita - a fun drinking ritual of a Somersby bottle literally served upside down over crushed ice.

Check out the beautiful Somerita!

There was even a station where you can decorate and beautify your Somersby!

During the launch, guests were also treated to Somersby Blackberry cider, a variant introduced end last year as limited edition, and is now back by popular demand. Available in 330ml bottles, Somersby Blackberry will be made available permanently across major supermarket chains. Fruity with a breadth of freshness and a mild taste of blackberry, Somersby Blackberry with its 4.5% alcohol content lives up to the brand’s reputation of spreading joy and sunny togetherness whenever it is served.

What's an event without a selfie!

Tantalising consumers taste buds further, Somersby Apple Cider is now made available in 320ml can at 4.5% ABV, available across major supermarket chains.

Beauty: Onsaemeein Velvet Moist Lip Tint Review

So, I've been a little late in exploring this Korean beauty trend of gradation lips and lip tints. I always love the lips they do on K-pop stars which looks so natural and sweet. I tried to achieve the gradation look a few times with my lipsticks, but somehow it doesn't feel right.

Actually, I have been to a few pharmacies in Malaysia to find these lip tints but they are always so pricey.

So, I decided to try out some of the lip tints available on Althea website and I chose this particular one, Onsaemeein Velvet Moist Lip Tint because the pictures and description was rather convincing haha. Plus, it's on offer at the moment, only RM 22.00!

So after much consideration, I got the one in #02 Berry Red because I prefer something in the between of pink and red for that sweet, girl next door look.

So, I took a few shot of what the product looks like:

It comes in a cute bottle, nothing fancy and the size is perfect to toss into my everyday makeup bag.

I like the colour, its very pretty and highly pigmented as well. It's very striking and similar to what I expected it to be.

The no fuss brush applicator is perfect as you just need to dab the tint at the inside of your lips.

I applied it to the whole lips for this because I wanted to show you guys how pretty the colour is. I will be trying out the gradation lips technique with this soon enough, once I've mastered it.

All in all, I really like this product. Perhaps, its because its the first lip tint I've purchased so far.
I've decided to list out some pros and cons of this lip tint.

Pros
1. Vivid colour with just 1 application
2. Lasts quite long (it doesn't go away when I eat unlike my other lipsticks)
3. Don't really need to re-apply
4. Non-sticky

Cons
None at the moment
